Your calendar
Paste your calendar's private link and VirtualDoc blocks the times you are already busy, so a patient cannot book over them. There is nothing to sign in to or approve. You can do this on the Your calendar step or under Availability and calendars, Connected calendars.
Google Calendar. Google calls it the "Secret address in iCal format".
1. On a computer, open calendar.google.com and sign in.
2. Click the gear icon at the top right, then click Settings.
3. On the left, under "Settings for my calendars", click the calendar you want us to read.
4. Scroll down to "Integrate calendar".
5. Copy the "Secret address in iCal format". It starts with https:// and ends in .ics.
6. Paste it into the box on this page and click Check and save.
On a phone: The Google Calendar phone app does not show this address. Open calendar.google.com in your phone's browser and ask for the desktop site, or use a computer.
Outlook or Microsoft 365. Outlook calls it the "ICS link" of a published calendar.
1. On a computer, open outlook.office.com/calendar and sign in.
2. Click the gear icon at the top right, then Calendar, then Shared calendars.
3. Under "Publish a calendar", choose your calendar.
4. Under permissions choose "Can view when I'm busy". This is the safest choice: it shares only your busy times.
5. Click Publish.
6. Copy the ICS link that appears and paste it into the box on this page, then click Check and save.
On a phone: The Outlook phone app cannot publish a calendar. Use a computer, or open outlook.office.com in your phone's browser and ask for the desktop site.
Apple iCloud Calendar. Apple calls it a "Public Calendar" link.
1. On a computer, open icloud.com/calendar and sign in. On a Mac you can use the Calendar app instead.
2. Click the share icon next to the calendar's name (on a Mac, right-click the calendar and choose Share Calendar).
3. Switch on "Public Calendar".
4. Click Copy Link. It starts with webcal://, which is fine.
5. Paste it into the box on this page and click Check and save.
On a phone: On an iPhone or iPad the Calendar app can switch on a Public Calendar: tap Calendars, tap the i next to the calendar, switch on Public Calendar and tap Share Link. Choose Copy, then paste it here.
This link is private. Anyone who has it can see your calendar, so do not share it.
We read only the start and end times of your busy slots. We do not keep event titles, descriptions, guests or places.
If the link ever leaks, reset or switch it off in your calendar app (in Google, choose "Reset secret address"; in Outlook, stop publishing; in iCloud, switch off Public Calendar). Then paste the new link here.
VirtualDoc reads the link again about every 15 minutes, and once more just before it confirms a booking. If the link stops working you will see a message in your workspace.
